Vega is a 6½ year old, grey and white, neutered, Alaskan malamute who is a larger boy with slightly lean build. He will have a longer coat but is not quite a woolly. Vega is beautiful dog ... the pictures just do not do him justice!

Vega is a soft tempered gentle dog who adores people of all ages. His most outstanding quality is his gentle temperament toward all people. Vega would do well in a home with children, as he is very affectionate and mellow of temperament. He is friendly with other dogs and is currently fostered with a malamute mix. Vega also fosters with a cat but will chase and pester it. Vega is housetrained.

Vega suffers from separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home with a nice dog companion, and where his people are home a lot! He is now crate-trained, but still does not enjoy being confined in small spaces for long periods of time. He can also climb an 8 foot chain link fence but seems ok behind wood. Please consider adopting this very sweet and special boy!
